Company Summary

BagYourRewards is an innovative rewards program focused on eliminating disposable bag usage in the U.S. retail industry by providing a financial incentive for consumers to use reusable bags. Disposable bags (both paper and plastic) have significant negative impacts on the environment, are harmful to wildlife, consume valuable non-renewable resources and litter our environment. It has been estimated that the U.S. consumes as many as 380 billion plastic bags each year, with paper bag consumption well into the billions as well. The vast majority of these bags end up in the landfill, being incinerated, or worst of all, littering our communities. Simply put, our consumption of disposable bags is not sustainable and must be addressed.

By converting a participant's total shopping bill into Reward Points every time they shop with reusable bags at participating retailers, BagYourRewards provides a compelling incentive for consumers to adopt this "green" alternative. Consumers can then use their accumulated Reward Points to redeem rewards from partnering companies. By providing incentive for consumers to use reusable bags and reduce wasteful consumption, BagYourRewards and its retail partners are helping improve the environment and are promoting a more sustainable community. BagYourRewards believes strongly that the benefits from this program will reach far beyond the reduction in consumption of disposable bags and will help to fundamentally shift consumer behavior to create a more sustainable society that is better equipped to tackle future environmental and sustainability issues that we will inevitably face.

Headquartered in Charlotte, NC, ReUseIt, LLC (dba BagYourRewards.com) was co-founded by Logan Dickerson and Rob Higgins in 2008. Logan and Rob's goal was to build a "green" business that promotes the environment and sustainability while delivering value to the consumers who choose to use reusable bags.
